The KONG Ovalone Alu Twist Lock is an oval aluminum carabiner with a twist lock gate, designed for those seeking reliability and practicality in belaying, rappelling, and rope access operations. The oval shape ensures even load distribution on both sides and keeps loads—pulleys, descenders, anchor plates—always centered and stable, unlike asymmetrical carabiners.
Locking System and Safety
The gate features a 2-movement Twist Lock mechanism: to open the carabiner, you must rotate the sleeve and pull the gate simultaneously, reducing the risk of accidental opening during use. The Keylock system eliminates the protruding nose from the gate, preventing unwanted snagging on ropes, harnesses, or nets and simplifying quick release even with gloves.
