DESCRIPTION
The Alien X by Fixe represents the sixth generation of one of the most iconic micro cams in climbing history, which debuted with its first patent in 1986 in Colorado and has continuously evolved into this current version. The #1/3 size is designed for small cracks, where precise placement and reliable protection make the difference between secure and questionable protection.
Technology and construction
The cams feature the new X-grip texture, a specially machined surface designed to increase friction against the crack walls, even on damp or dusty rock. The independent double-axle design, a long-standing feature of the Alien, ensures optimal adaptation to irregular and parallel cracks, distributing the load evenly across both lobes. The high-strength aluminum body keeps the weight down without compromising structural strength.
