DESCRIPTION
The Alien X by FIXE represents the sixth generation of one of the most iconic micro-cams in climbing history, born in 1986 in Colorado with the first patent and continuously evolved to this current version. The #1/3 size is designed for small cracks, where the precision of placement and the reliability of the anchor make the difference between a secure and a dubious protection.
Technology and Construction
The cams feature the new X-grip texture, a specially treated surface designed to increase friction on crack walls, even in the presence of wet or dusty rock. The independent dual-axle design, a historical feature of the Aliens, ensures optimal adaptation to irregular and parallel cracks, distributing the load evenly over both lobes. The high-strength aluminum body keeps the weight down without compromising structural integrity.
