DESCRIPTION
The Ferrino Lightec SM 1100 is an expedition sleeping bag designed for those tackling extreme conditions while minimizing pack weight. With a comfort temperature of +4°C and an extreme limit of -16°C, it sits at the high end of the Lightec line and meets the needs of technical mountaineering, high-altitude trekking, and long traverses in cold environments.
Construction and materials
The outer shell is made of 300T Ripstop polyester, a cross-weave that increases tear resistance while keeping the fabric lightweight and compressible. The Shingle synthetic fiber padding is distributed using a shingled offset seam technique, which eliminates thermal bridges between layers and ensures uniform insulation across the entire surface, including the stitching areas. This solution works effectively even in damp conditions, unlike down.
Technical specifications and features
- Shape: mummy, to reduce the volume of air inside to be heated
- Anti-snag zip with internal thermal protection
- Adjustable anatomical hood to protect the head during overnight bivouacs
- Reduced compression size: compatible with expedition compression sacks
The Lightec SM 1100 is the technical choice for those who do not want to compromise on warmth when every gram in the backpack truly counts.
