DESCRIPTION
Mammut Alugator Light is an avalanche shovel designed for ski tourers and freeriders looking for a real balance between lightness and effective digging capacity in emergency situations.
The blade is made of high-strength anodized aluminum, a choice that ensures sturdiness and corrosion resistance while keeping the overall weight down: a combination that is difficult to achieve in avalanche rescue shovels.
Blade features- Anti-tilt profile that stabilizes the shovel during high-frequency shoveling, reducing physical exertion during the most critical rescue phases
- Sharpened edge to effectively penetrate compact snow and hard slabs typical of the avalanche mantle
- Integrated attachment holes in the blade to quickly assemble a snow anchor, useful for building safety systems in alpine environments
- Detachable handle to reduce bulk in the backpack
- Ergonomic grip designed to maintain control even with ski touring gloves
- Compatible with avalanche self-rescue protocols: rapid digging, anchor construction, casualty stabilization
A shovel to include in your essential avalanche kit: light enough not to weigh you down on the trip, solid enough to be truly effective in an emergency.
