DESCRIPTION
The Salewa Wildfire Edge Mid GORE-TEX® Women's is a mid-cut approach shoe for mountaineers and climbers who want a single shoe for walking, climbing, and returning, even in variable weather conditions.
Technologies and construction
The Switchfit system allows you to adapt the fit: tightening the laces moves the foot forward toward the toe like a climbing shoe, while loosening them returns to a more comfortable toe for walking. Under the forefoot and big toe, a rigid plate increases precision when climbing, while the rest of the sole remains flexible. The upper is made of 1.6 mm suede with an Exa Shell coating for torsional stability and a 3F system with Kevlar® cables; inside, the GORE-TEX® Extended Comfort membrane is waterproof and breathable.
