DESCRIPTION
The Edelrid Tommy Caldwell ECO DRY CT 9.3 mm was born from a collaboration with one of the world's strongest big wall climbers, Tommy Caldwell, and reflects the extreme needs of those who tackle long and demanding vertical walls. With a diameter of 9.3 mm and a length of 60 meters, it is positioned in the lightweight single dynamic rope category, where the balance between weight and strength is critical.
Technology and construction
The ECO DRY treatment waterproofs both the core and the sheath with an environmentally friendly formulation, certified UIAA Water Repellent, which reduces water absorption in snow, rain, or ice conditions — essential when rappelling descents on large walls become long and the weather changes. The Color Tec technology produces a clear color change at the rope's midpoint, integrated directly into the braid structure as a permanent center marking: it does not fade with wear and requires no subsequent treatments.
