With a diameter of 8 mm and a length of 30 meters, this blue version offers a precise balance between manageability and belaying capacity in a rope team.
Construction and technical performance
The Rando's construction meets Beal's manufacturing standards for alpine safety ropes, with an abrasion-resistant sheath designed to withstand contact with snow, ice, and bare rock. Its low weight and reduced 8 mm diameter make it easy to carry in a backpack without adding significant weight, a fundamental feature for mountain outings where every gram counts.
Use in mountaineering and ski touring
In the 30-meter version, it is suitable for rope teams of two or three people on glaciers or for protecting short technical passages during demanding hikes and ski touring outings in glacial environments. The blue color ensures immediate visibility in low-light conditions or on snow. For those managing larger rope teams, Beal offers the same rope in a 48-meter format with markings every 12 meters to facilitate distance management within the rope team.
