DESCRIPTION
The Black Diamond Camalot C4 in size 0.3 is one of the most recognizable and widely used active protection devices in rock climbing, employed both on crags and big alpine walls. This updated version has been completely redesigned compared to the previous generation, resulting in a net 10% reduction in weight while maintaining the same structural strength.
Construction and cam geometry
The C4 0.3's cams are sculpted and lightened using CNC machining, while maintaining the dual-axle geometry that has always distinguished the Camalot. This configuration allows for a wide expansion range compared to single-axle cams, increasing versatility for placement in irregular or flared cracks. The flexible coated steel stem improves resistance to dynamic stresses, reducing the risk of leverage on the anchor point in the event of a fall. The arch is certified CE EN 12276 as active protection for climbing.
