DESCRIPTION
The BEAL Opera 8.5mm Unicore is a single rope for sport climbing and mountaineering that sets a new standard in weight/performance ratio: at just 48 grams per meter, it is the lightest and thinnest single rope available on the market, the first in the industry to fall below the 50 g/m threshold.
Technology and construction
The core of the project is Unicore technology, which permanently bonds the core and sheath during production: the result is a monolithic structure that eliminates sheath slippage, keeps the rope balanced, and significantly extends its lifespan. The DRY Cover treatment applies a water-repellent protection to the outer sheath, reducing water absorption and maintaining the rope's dynamic properties even in wet, snowy, or icy conditions.
