DESCRIPTION
The Edelrid Cable KIT Ultralite VII is a via ferrata set designed for those who do not want to compromise on certified safety even when every gram counts. Weighing just 285 g in total, it is currently one of the lightest via ferrata sets available on the market, designed for demanding outings where the lightness of the equipment makes a difference over a long route.
Construction and materials
The two elastic arms are made of HMPE (High Modulus Polyethylene), a synthetic fiber with high resistance to wear, abrasion, and moisture. The slim structure allows for a long reach compared to traditional lanyards, making it easier to reach protection points even on sections with widely spaced bolts. The integrated ultralight carabiners are designed for quick one-handed clipping and unclipping, even when wearing gloves.
Certifications and safety
- EN 958 certification for energy-absorbing via ferrata systems
- Central connector compatible with harnesses equipped with a standard belay loop
- Progressive energy absorption system in the event of a fall
- Weight: 285 g
The Cable KIT Ultralite VII is the ideal choice for those tackling multi-day alpine via ferratas, demanding treks with equipped sections, or high-altitude outings where reducing backpack weight is a concrete priority, without compromising on the level of protection.
