DESCRIPTION
The Edelrid Cable Comfort TRI is a Y-shaped via ferrata set with a triple swivel joint, designed for those seeking maximum freedom of movement on equipped routes without compromising certified safety. Its distinguishing feature is precisely the tri-articulated system: the three independent pivot points eliminate the tangles that typically form during carabiner-to-carabiner transitions, making every progression smoother and more intuitive.
Materials and construction
The elastic arms are made of HMPE (High Modulus Polyethylene), a high-strength fiber that is extraordinarily abrasion-resistant, allowing the set to maintain a small diameter and low overall weight while delivering high mechanical performance. The compact construction of the arms reduces bulk on the harness, preventing the set from hindering movement on vertical terrain.
Safety and approvals
- Compliant with the EN 958 standard for via ferrata sets
- Integrated energy absorption system to reduce impact force in the event of a fall
- Carabiners with secure locking and intuitive opening, optimized for quick attachment to cables
- Patented triple swivel joint that prevents the arms from twisting during use
The Cable Comfort TRI is the ideal choice for via ferrata climbers tackling medium and high-difficulty routes with numerous anchor changes, where the system's responsiveness and reduced bulk make a tangible difference in progression and fatigue management.
