DESCRIPTION
The Leki Makalu FX Carbon Compact is a carbon fiber telescopic trekking pole, available in the adjustable 100-120 cm size, designed for those seeking lightness and performance on technical alpine routes and long high-altitude hikes.
Construction and key technologies
The shaft is made of carbon, a material that guarantees high torsional rigidity combined with a low weight, reducing fatigue in the wrist and arm during prolonged outings. The FX Carbon locking system ensures quick and reliable locking of the adjustment length, without requiring tools and with an immediate mechanical response even with gloves.
The Aergon Air grip uses a hollow structure technology that combines reduced weight and large support surfaces, respecting the ergonomic requirements of the hand during the different phases of the step. The head of the grip is completely covered in rubber, which maximizes grip even in conditions of humidity or sweat, offering a secure hold both during the ascent and descent on uneven terrain.
