DESCRIPTION
The Ortovox Tour Rider 30 is a 30-litre ski touring backpack designed for full-day outings in alpine terrain, where quick access to safety equipment and load stability make the difference between a smooth and a strenuous trip.
Structure and carrying system
The main compartment holds everything needed for a day in the mountains, while a dedicated and separate compartment for emergency equipment keeps the shovel and probe quickly accessible without having to open the entire bag. This separation is no minor detail: in the event of an avalanche, it reduces the time needed to retrieve search equipment. The ski attachment system allows for A-frame or cross-carry, adapting to both freeride skis and long touring skis.
Technical features
- Capacity: 30 litres
- Separate compartment for shovel and probe with independent access
- Ski carrying system for A-frame and cross-carry
- Integrated external helmet holder
- Ice axe attachment
- Hydration system pocket with insulated hose sleeve
- Aluframe back panel with aluminium frame for optimal weight distribution
- Compatible with AVABAG avalanche safety systems
The ventilated back and adjustable shoulder strap system ensure stability even on steep slopes, while the compact construction limits the backpack's lateral movement during transitions. A practical choice for those tackling significant elevation gains without wanting to compromise on internal organization.
