DESCRIPTION
The Ortovox Ravine 28 is a technical freeride backpack designed for those who tackle steep descents and don't want to waste time at altitude. The access system is its strong point: all essential items can be reached without taking the backpack off your back, a decisive feature when weather conditions change quickly or you are in a group on exposed terrain.
Quick access and ski carry
Skis are carried using a parallel quick-release attachment with an integrated carabiner, which allows you to attach and detach skis in a few seconds even with gloves on. This system allows you to quickly switch from "carrying" mode to "skiing" mode without cumbersome operations, reducing transition times on ski touring ascents.
Technical features
- Capacity: 28 liters, balanced for day trips on freeride and ski touring routes
- Lightweight construction with selected technical materials to keep weight down without sacrificing durability
- Dedicated avalanche safety compartment with direct access to the transceiver, shovel, and probe
- Ergonomic back support system designed to maintain stability even during off-piste descents
- Compatible with helmet carry and equipped with an external helmet holder
The Ravine 28 is aimed at those who approach freeriding methodically: 28 liters of volume are sufficient for a complete safety kit, a change of clothes, food, and technical equipment without unnecessarily weighing down the ascent. The quick access management makes it particularly suitable for fast independent outings or in environments where operational efficiency is a priority.
