DESCRIPTION
The Mammut Nirvana 28 is a technical 28-litre backpack specifically developed for lift-assisted ski touring and freeriding, with a design focused on quick access to safety equipment in winter conditions.
Construction and carrying system
The backpack features an ergonomic back carrying system with a ventilated back panel and padded anatomical shoulder straps, designed to ensure stability during descents in fresh snow and long traverses. The book-opening back panel allows access to the inside of the backpack without having to rummage from the top, keeping the contents organised even in emergency situations. The dedicated avalanche transceiver pocket is accessible in a few seconds, as is the separate shovel compartment, with an integrated side probe pocket.
Technical winter features
- Volume: 28 litres, ideal for day trips or weeks with lifts
- A-frame ski carry for carrying skis on the backpack during walking sections
- Integrated vertical ski carry as an alternative to horizontal carry
- Spacious and easily accessible external helmet pocket
- Compatible with a hydration bladder of up to 3 litres
- Rain cover included to protect the contents in case of heavy snowfall
- Materials with a water-repellent treatment to resist surface moisture
The Nirvana 28 is aimed at those who tackle demanding days on groomed slopes, off-piste, and light ski touring, and need a backpack that simultaneously handles safety, organisation, and carrying comfort without compromising on weight.
