DESCRIPTION
The CAMP Sonic ALU Plus is a foldable aluminum pole designed for trekkers and trail runners who need a compact, lightweight tool that's ready to use in seconds. The multi-segment folding system drastically reduces its bulk, making it compatible with compact technical backpacks and running vests.
Construction and Technical Components
The structure is made of high-strength aluminum, offering a good balance between rigidity and low weight. The internal steel cable coated with polymer ensures constant tension between the segments, preventing loosening even after prolonged use on rough terrain. Assembly is quick with no locking mechanisms to manually tighten.
Grip, Strap, and Adaptability
- The extended grip allows for varying hand positions at different heights without having to adjust the pole's length, ideal for quick ascents and descents.
- The super-thin, adjustable straps reduce hand weight and adapt to different wrist sizes, ensuring comfort during repetitive movements.
- The tungsten carbide tip ensures reliable grip on rock, compact dirt, and asphalt.
A practical choice for those tackling mixed trail and running outings: the Sonic ALU Plus folds in a matter of seconds and attaches to a backpack without taking up space, ready to be deployed in technical sections where support makes all the difference.
