Atomic Backland 85 Men's Ski Touring Skis
Atomic Backland 85 Men's Ski Touring Skis - Grey / 157 is backordered and will ship as soon as it is back in stock.
DESCRIPTION
The Atomic Backland 85 is an all-round ski touring ski, lightweight, stable and versatile, for dawn outings, quick laps after work and long backcountry trips. It is suitable for everyone from beginners to expert skiers.
Construction
It is based on a study of the ski's life cycle: with poplar wood, less resin and fiberglass, and low-impact sidewalls, CO₂ emissions are reduced by 30% compared to the 2021 Backland 85. The wide and perforated HRZN 3D tip floats better in fresh and irregular snow. The All-Terrain profile uses wood and fiberglass in new proportions to provide more torsional stiffness and a flex that holds up better on hard snow. The poplar Light Woodcore keeps the weight down without losing dampening and stability.
Dimensions
| Length | Tip-waist-tail (mm) | Radius |
|---|---|---|
| 157 cm | 117-84.5-105 | 14.2 m |
| 165 cm | 118.5-85-106.5 | 15.2 m |
| 172 cm | 120-85.5-108 | 16.2 m |
| 179 cm | 121.5-86-109.5 | 17.2 m |
Weight: 1250 g per ski (172 cm). All-Mountain 15/85/0 rocker with a slightly raised tail (directional shape), for short and long turns. Pair with an Atomic PreFit skin.
Fit
Available lengths: 157, 165, 172, 179 cm. Atomic's ski touring recommendations: all-round skis approximately 5 cm shorter than your height, fast & light skis 5 to 10 cm shorter, freeride touring skis equal to your height or up to 5 cm longer. The shorter the ski, the more agile it is when turning around; the longer the ski, the more stable it is and the better it floats.
Pair with: Atomic Skin 85/86 Ski Touring Skins, Atomic Backland Tour Ski Touring Binding - Skistopper 90 mm, Atomic Backland Expert Men's Ski Touring Boot
