DESCRIPTION

Scarpa F1 RS is the ski touring boot designed for those who want to climb light and descend with control. It is suitable for long multi-hour trips and varied terrain, where freedom of movement on the ascent, precision on the descent, and reliability throughout the day matter.

Overlap Flow Construction

The new Scarpa Overlap Flow construction takes the classic overlap design of downhill boots and makes it more suitable for ski touring: the flaps across the instep are softer, so the boot is quick to put on and allows for a natural walking gait, while the stiffer lower shell precisely transmits inputs to the skis.

The shell and cuff combine two materials: Pebax® Rnew® in the areas that need to flex and wrap the foot, and Grilamid® FG LFT® reinforced with long glass fibers where torsional rigidity and stability on the descent are needed.

Closure and ski/walk mechanism

• BOA® H+i1 Remote: powerful and precise closure, with micro-adjustments in both directions even while out
• Aluminum levers that are lightweight and easy to use with gloves, with micrometric adjustment
• Booster™ Strap elastic strap that makes the closure progressive and absorbs impacts on the shin
• FS Lever with automatic return to quickly switch from ski to walk mode
• Friction Free: without a connecting rod between the shell and cuff, the walking gait on the ascent is more fluid

Intuition FS Tour liner

The thermoformable Intuition FS Tour liner has a tongue, an elastic band across the instep, and targeted padding on the heel to keep the ankle well-secured; two pull tabs at the top help to put it on. For the best fit, Scarpa recommends having it thermoformed before use by a thermoformer in the Scarpa network.

Fit and compatibility

Last width of 101 mm, Mondopoint sizing. Scarpa half-size boots have the same shell as the full size above and a half-size smaller liner. Ideal with skis from 75 to 105 mm at the center, compatible with all insert ski touring bindings (TLT). Weight approximately 1340 g (size 27). Made in Asolo, Italy.
