DESCRIPTION

The La Sportiva Solar II is a ski touring boot designed for those who want a versatile tool, capable of performing well both uphill and downhill without excessive compromises in either direction. It's a solid choice for the all-round ski mountaineer, whether for high-altitude excursions or for approaching the world of ski touring for the first time.

Construction and technology

The structure features a bi-injected polyurethane shell, which combines rigidity in the front and controlled flexibility in the back, ensuring a natural stride during long ascents. The freedom of movement in ski walk mode is ample, designed to tackle steep slopes with ease without tiring the calf. Closure is entrusted to the BOA® Fit System, which allows for quick, precise, and uniform adjustment of the fit with a simple turn of the dial, even with gloves on. This detail makes a difference in cold and fast transitions at high altitudes.

Key features

  • Low weight to ensure energy efficiency on prolonged ascents
  • Vibram® IBS sole with reliable grip on compact snow and mixed terrain
  • Bi-injected shell with differentiated density for the right balance between support and walkability
  • Compatible with tech/pin ski touring bindings
  • Optimized design for medium-narrow feet

The Solar II is aimed at those who travel varied routes throughout the season and are looking for a boot that doesn't force compromises, maintaining an accessible learning curve even for backcountry novices with skins.
