DESCRIPTION

The La Sportiva Kilo Woman is a ski touring boot built around a precise concept: eliminating every superfluous gram without compromising downhill control. The result is a boot that weighs under 1,000 g per boot — hence the name — positioning it among the lightest solutions in its category.

Construction and Materials

Both the shell and the cuff are made of Grilamid Bio Based LF Carbon™, a formulation developed specifically for this model: it is a bio-based polymer reinforced with carbon fiber, which combines structural rigidity and low weight more efficiently than traditional Grilamid. The new shell closure system has been redesigned to ensure a precise and stable fit, reducing unwanted movements during uphill pushes.

Uphill and Downhill Performance

Extreme lightness reduces muscle fatigue during prolonged ascents, a tangible advantage on multi-day alpine trips or ski mountaineering races.
The carbon cuff offers a calibrated flex response to transmit pressure to the ski during turns on hard snow, without lateral yielding.
The walk mode ensures sufficient ankle mobility for steep ascents and mixed terrain.

The Kilo Woman is aimed at female ski mountaineers who tackle technical high-altitude itineraries and are looking for a race or performance boot where every ten grams has a direct impact on the fatigue accumulated at altitude.
