The Atomic Backland Pro W is a ski touring boot designed specifically for women tackling challenging routes with significant elevation changes, where every gram counts on the ascent but downhill control cannot be compromised. The Prolite construction combines a lightweight composite shell with selective stiffness that ensures lateral stability without weighing down the stride.
Technologies and construction
The Energy Backbone system — a structural rib integrated into the shell — transmits the calf's push directly to the ski, improving downhill control even on hardpack or off-piste terrain. The Cross Lace 2.0 closure wraps the foot in a network of laces with even tension, eliminating the localized pressure points typical of traditional clip buckles and ensuring a precise anatomical fit even for the female foot, which is generally narrower at the heel and wider at the forefoot.
