DESCRIPTION
The ATK Bindings Trofeo 6 Plus is a ski touring binding in the Speed Touring category, designed for those tackling technical high-altitude routes with significant elevation gains and descents on icy, steep snow. Its design philosophy revolves around a rare balance: minimal weight, high structural rigidity, and downhill performance comparable to heavier solutions.
Structure and Technology
The binding body is made of CNC-machined aeronautical aluminum alloy, with an architecture that ensures reduced torsion even on uneven snow and at high speeds. The front release system uses a forked toe with adjustable lateral opening, compatible with standard ski touring inserts. The heel integrates a climbing mechanism with a multi-position heel lifter, which can be activated with a pole even while wearing gloves. The reference DIN goes up to 6, placing this binding in a technical range suitable for experienced skiers with an aggressive but not pure competition style.
Technical Data and Compatibility
- Weight per pair: approximately 198 g (variable depending on configuration)
- DIN/ISO: 3–6
- Compatibility: boots with standard Dynafit inserts (toe insert)
- Main material: CNC-machined aeronautical aluminum
- Heel lifter: multi-position, pole-activated
In practice, the Trofeo 6 Plus performs as a reliable binding for those linking peaks in severe alpine environments, where every gram on the foot translates into energy saved on the ascent, and where grip on hard snow during descent is non-negotiable.
