DESCRIPTION
The ATK Haute Route 8 is a high-performance ski touring binding designed for those tackling challenging ascents and technical terrain without compromise. The updated version introduces significant structural improvements over the previous generation, maintaining the philosophy of extreme lightness that characterizes the Haute Route line.
Technologies and Safety System
The heart of the binding is the CAM RELEASE SYSTEM®, an exclusive ATK system that ensures a stable support platform during descent while providing reliable and progressive release in case of a fall. The heel is equipped with the new Magneto Heel Flaps system, which, through a magnetic mechanism, allows selecting 3 different walking modes, adapting the binding to changes in slope during ascent with extreme practicality even with gloves on.
Technical Features
- Category: Speed Touring — optimized for technical freetouring and use on mountaineering routes
- DIN Value: up to 8, suitable for experienced skiers with high weight and skiing style
- Ultra-light construction in aluminum and composite materials to reduce the overall setup weight
- Compatibility: boots with 2-pin WTR/Tech inserts
- Integrated heel raiser with multiple height positions to manage long ascents
The Haute Route 8 is aimed at those who consider progression on steep slopes an integral part of the ski touring experience: every detail is calibrated not to penalize uphill performance or safety on transformed snow, crust, or powdery off-piste conditions.
