DESCRIPTION
The Ortovox Freeride Long Socks are long technical socks designed for demanding freeride sessions, where managing thermal comfort and moisture makes the difference between a memorable descent and a difficult day. The pre-shaped construction follows the anatomical shape of the foot, reducing internal bunching that, over the course of a day of skiing, becomes a source of pressure and chafing.
Materials and construction
The base of the sock is made of fine Merino wool, a natural fiber that actively regulates body temperature and manages moisture by wicking it away from the skin, keeping the foot dry both during skin-track ascents and descents in fresh snow. Merino wool also has natural antibacterial properties, limiting odor formation even after prolonged use. The flat seams eliminate friction points in the most sensitive areas, while strategically placed reinforcement zones increase durability in areas prone to greater wear.
