DESCRIPTION
The Millet Baikal 1100 is a 3-season sleeping bag with synthetic insulation, designed for hiking and trekking. Its primary purpose is to provide protection in the damp conditions typical of tent use: body condensation, sudden night rain, and ground moisture.
As Antoine, Millet Product Manager, explains: "Synthetic insulation ensures good performance against all these forms of moisture." Synthetic materials also offer a concrete practical advantage: the bag can be machine-washed and stored compressed, significantly simplifying maintenance compared to down alternatives.
Temperature ratings:
- Comfort temperature: 5 °C — up to this temperature, the user, in a relaxed position on their back, feels no cold.
- Comfort limit temperature: 0 °C — between 5 °C and 0 °C, it is necessary to adopt a curled-up position to maintain a comfortable level of warmth. Below this threshold, one may begin to feel cold.
- Extreme temperature: -16 °C
The Baikal 1100 Reg is available in a standard size. Those with a larger build can opt for the 1100 Long model, in the extended version. The entire Baikal range consists of six models, designed to adapt to different builds and activities, allowing every user to choose based on the comfort temperatures best suited to their needs.
