DESCRIPTION
The Contour protective strip is an essential accessory for anyone using hot-melt ski touring skins: it keeps the adhesive layer protected from dust, dirt, and snow residue during transport and storage, preserving its effectiveness over time.
Technical specifications
The strip is designed for skins up to 140 mm wide and is sold as 2 pieces of 1 metre each, providing a total linear coverage of 2 metres — enough to protect a standard pair of ski touring skins. The protective skin is folded over both sides of the ski skin, ensuring complete and symmetrical coverage of the adhesive.
Use and compatibility
Thanks to its design, the strip makes it considerably easier to separate hot-melt skins, reducing the risk of damaging the adhesive layer when opening them in extremely cold conditions or while wearing gloves. It is compatible with Contour hot-melt skins and is a practical solution for anyone who wants to extend the life of the adhesive between outings, preventing it from degrading due to contamination or repeated contact with unprotected surfaces.
