DESCRIPTION
The Black Crows Furtis is a ski touring pole built entirely from composite material, designed for those who want to reduce pack weight without sacrificing mechanical resistance in challenging conditions. Its essential black and white aesthetic isn't just a stylistic choice: it reflects a construction philosophy that eliminates the superfluous to focus on performance.
Construction and Technical Features
The shaft has a 22 mm diameter in 100% composite, a generous size that ensures high torsional rigidity while maintaining a low weight. The material structure is designed with slight inherent elasticity, allowing the pole to absorb impacts and lateral stresses without transmitting them directly to the wrist — a detail that makes a difference on long outings at altitude.
- Shaft in 100% composite, 22 mm diameter
- Structure with controlled flex for impact absorption
- Long, tapered grip for a precise hold with thick gloves
- Black/white coloring with minimalist aesthetic
When to Use It
The Furtis is the right choice for ski touring outings where equipment weight is a critical variable — long tours, significant elevation gains, alpine environments with variable snow. The thin and elongated grip allows you to climb your hand along the shaft on uphill traverses, reducing the need to adjust the length with every change in slope.
