DESCRIPTION
The Ortovox Swisswool Piz Boè Skirt is a technical ski touring skirt designed for those tackling demanding climbs and descents in intense cold, from the Dolomite couloirs to the snowy slopes of the Arlberg. It is not a garment to be worn while stationary: it is built to stay on during the entire outing, in motion.
Insulation and thermal management
The heart of the product is the 60 g/m² Swisswool padding, certified Swiss merino wool that combines thermal insulation and active moisture management. Unlike synthetic down jackets, merino wool continues to insulate even when slightly damp from sweat, making it ideal for long climbs where the body generates heat intermittently. The weight-to-insulation ratio is optimized for dynamic use: no unnecessary bulk, no overheating.
