DESCRIPTION
The Atomic Backland is a ski touring helmet designed for those who tackle challenging elevation gains without compromising on protection. Its construction is based on a polycarbonate shell combined with high-density EPS foam, capable of effectively absorbing impacts in both extreme cold conditions and milder temperatures.
Construction and protection
The Backland complies with the EN 1077 class B certification, the reference standard for alpine ski and ski touring helmets. Its low weight — between 280 and 320 g depending on the size — makes it suitable for uphill ascents, where every gram counts. The shell is available in white, which reflects direct sunlight during long exposures at altitude.
Fit and compatibility
- 360° Custom Fit adjustment system for a precise fit to the shape of the head
- Removable ear covers, useful for adjusting ventilation between the ascent and descent phases
- Compatible with ski touring goggles and masks from the Atomic range
- Adjustable vents to manage the internal temperature during changes of pace
