DESCRIPTION
The ALTITUDE by Petzl is a mountaineering and ski touring harness designed for those who move in vertical environments with equipment on their feet: the geometry of the leg loops allows you to put on and take off the harness without removing skis, crampons, or gaiters, eliminating one of the most awkward operations on a wall or glacier.
Construction and weight
The structure is reduced to the essentials to keep the weight to a minimum, a fundamental feature in contexts such as glacier mountaineering, steep ski touring, and mixed routes, where every gram counts on long ascents. The front belay point is reinforced and compatible with standard belay and descent systems. Two gear loops allow you to attach ice screws, quickdraws, or other tools necessary for progressing on glacial or mixed terrain.
