DESCRIPTION
The Ortovox Shovel PRO Light is an avalanche shovel designed for ski touring and high-mountain tours with lightweight backpacks, where every gram counts without compromising on efficiency in emergency situations. The anodized aluminum blade features structural grooves that increase its torsional rigidity without adding weight, while the aluminum telescopic handle allows you to adjust the operating length according to digging conditions.
Technical features
- Blade made of high-strength aluminum with reinforcing grooves to maximize rigidity during digging
- Low weight thanks to the combined use of aircraft-grade aluminum and optimized blade geometry
- Adjustable telescopic handle to adapt to posture and digging depth
- Quick mounting system for assembly and disassembly in a few seconds even with gloves
- Shovel approved for use in avalanche search and rescue contexts
- Compact format for housing in the back panel of a ski touring backpack
When it makes the difference
In an avalanche rescue context, minutes are decisive. The Shovel PRO Light mounts quickly even with thick gloves and offers a blade surface sufficient to move large volumes of snow in a short time. It is the right choice for those who tackle challenging routes in snowy environments and want to carry reliable rescue equipment without weighing down their gear.
