Atomic Backland Expert Men's Ski Touring Boot
Atomic Backland Expert Men's Ski Touring Boot - Black / 26 is backordered and will ship as soon as it is back in stock.
DESCRIPTION
The Atomic Backland Expert is a ski touring boot designed for those who tackle long ascents without compromising on a technical and controlled descent. Built with a two-piece bicomponent polyurethane structure, it combines a rigid outer shell with a more flexible cuff that promotes freedom of movement on the ascent, reducing muscle fatigue on challenging elevation gains.
Technical features
- The walk mode with 53° rotation guarantees a natural and fluid stride during the ascent, comparable to that of a lightweight trekking boot.
- The flex index 110 ensures a precise response on descents on hard-packed snow and steep slopes, without sacrificing the progressiveness of the support.
- The Grilamid sole with Michelin profile offers reliable grip on both snow and mixed rocky terrain, essential on ridge sections or approaches.
- The closure system with three aluminum hooks and a micrometric cuff closure allows for precise adjustment and a stable fit even with thick ski touring socks.
- The weight starting from approximately 1,450 g per boot (size 26.5) places it in the mid-range, ideal for those who do not want to give up the structural robustness of the Expert model.
Who it is designed for
The Atomic Backland Expert is aimed at the intermediate-advanced ski tourer who tackles demanding trips in alpine environments, with sustained elevation gains and descents on variable snow. The combination of efficiency on the ascent and control on the descent makes it a concrete solution for those who do not want to manage two different pairs of boots depending on the conditions. Compatible with pin bindings and frame bindings, it adapts to different equipment philosophies without requiring adapters.
Fit
Measurements in Mondopoint (MP): the number corresponds to the length of the foot in centimeters (e.g., 27 = 27/27.5). Measure your foot from heel to big toe, standing up and with your ski sock on, and choose the corresponding size; if in doubt, write to us before ordering.
To pair with: Atomic Backland 88 Men's Ski Touring Skis, Atomic Backland Tour Ski Touring Bindings - Skistopper 90 mm, Atomic Skin Multifit 135 mm Ski Touring Skins
