DESCRIPTION
The La Sportiva Trail Guard Shorts are designed for those who don't compromise between speed and protection on the trail. Conceived for speed hiking and trail running, these shorts combine ultra-light, breathable, and quick-drying fabric with a construction capable of keeping up with unexpected weather at high altitudes.
Construction and materials
The main fabric ensures minimal weight without sacrificing the mechanical resistance needed when the trail gets technical. The fit is calibrated not to limit the long stride typical of speed hiking: no constriction on the hips, ample freedom of movement on the thighs. The surface water-repellent finish offers a first barrier against splashes and light rain, protecting during rapid weather changes in the mountains.
Practicality and portability
- Extreme packability: they fold into the back pocket, taking up minimal space in a backpack or trail vest pocket
- Closed back pocket for storing small essentials during your outing
- Ideal as a second layer to always carry with you on fast high-altitude excursions
For those tackling significant elevation gains with a fast and light approach, the Trail Guard Shorts offer a concrete solution: they weigh almost nothing in your backpack but, when needed, provide immediate protection without slowing you down.
