DESCRIPTION
The Salewa Agner Durastretch was born from real-world testing sessions on the walls of the Dolomites — particularly on the north face of Cima Grande — where conditions change quickly and there is no room for compromise. It is a technical softshell jacket designed for rock climbing in spring, summer, and autumn, when protection and mobility are equally important.
Construction and fabric
The heart of the jacket is the proprietary Durastretch fabric, a highly resistant elastic material that combines mechanical abrasion protection with superior freedom of movement compared to traditional softshells. The construction is optimized to avoid creating tension points in climbing positions: the shoulders, elbows, and torso follow the body's movements without restricting them. The DWR treatment guarantees light water and wind resistance, maintaining comfort during approaches in variable conditions without the sauna effect of a waterproof membrane.
