The Dynafit Mezzalama Polartec® Alpha® is an insulating jacket for women designed for technical mountaineering and high-intensity winter activities, where thermal management must be precise and responsive. The name is no coincidence: it recalls the famous Mezzalama Trophy, one of the toughest glacier ski mountaineering races in the Alps, and this jacket was created precisely to meet those extreme demands.
Technology and materials
The heart of the jacket is the Polartec® Alpha® insulation, one of the most advanced thermal technologies available on the market. Unlike classic fleece or down padding, Polartec® Alpha® maintains an optimal ratio between heat retention and active breathability, continuing to insulate even when the fabric is saturated with moisture. This makes it ideal during prolonged exertion, when the body alternates between phases of overheating and rapid cooling.
