DESCRIPTION
The Black Diamond 240 cm 18mm Nylon Runners are wide tape slings, designed for those who need long and versatile quickdraws in a variety of situations: from anchoring to bolts and cams to building belays on natural features like trees and spikes, to extending protection points on frequently changing routes.
Construction and materials
The webbing is made of durable 18mm wide nylon, a choice that prioritizes durability and robustness over reduced weight. Nylon, compared to Dyneema, offers greater resistance to abrasion and weathering over the long term, making it suitable for continuous use on rock, cracks, and edges. The end stitching is reinforced to ensure structural integrity even under dynamic load.
Practical use
The 240 cm length allows for building balanced belays on spaced protections or wrapping large natural features without having to knot them, maintaining the stated strength. Each runner is color-coded to immediately identify its size at a glance, reducing equipment selection time on the harness.
- Webbing width: 18 mm
- Length: 240 cm
