DESCRIPTION
Black Diamond 18mm 120cm Nylon Runners are nylon sewn slings designed for those who want classic, uncompromising reliability. The 18 mm width ensures robust strength, while the 120 cm length makes them particularly suitable for extending quickdraws on routes with varying directions, where direct placement would cause excessive rope drag.
Construction and material
Nylon is the benchmark material for climbing slings due to its ability to absorb dynamic energy and its long-term abrasion resistance. Compared to Dyneema, nylon offers greater stretch under load, which translates into a reduction of the peak force transmitted to the anchor in the event of a fall. The end seams are designed to ensure a secure and durable closure, even after intensive use at the crag or in the mountains.
Quick identification and versatile use
Each size in the line is color-coded, so you can identify the correct length at a glance directly from your harness, without losing time during progression. The 120 cm Runners are suitable for a wide range of uses:
- Building anchors on natural or artificial protection
- Extending protection on routes with deviations
- Using as a lightweight emergency lanyard
- Connecting to spikes, trees, or rock blocks
An essential sling to include in any climbing kit, whether for crag outings or alpine adventures.

- Mountaineering
