DESCRIPTION
The Kong Ergo Anniversary Violet is a sport climbing quickdraw made entirely in Italy, designed for those seeking a reliable and responsive tool both at the crag and on demanding sport routes. The Anniversary edition stands out for its purple color, created to celebrate an important milestone for the brand.
Construction and materials
The quickdraw features two Ergo locking carabiners, an ergonomic shape that makes gripping and opening the gate easier even with one hand, reducing the risk of error when clipping in on the wall. Both connectors feature the Keylock system, which eliminates the nose from the carabiner: this prevents the tip from accidentally snagging on the webbing, quickdraw slings, or harness, making every operation smoother and safer. The webbing is woven from 13 mm Dyneema with a length of 12 cm, a high-tenacity yarn that ensures a low weight without compromising tear strength. The Fast Rubber silicone stopper, in the ultra-resistant version, firmly keeps the lower carabiner correctly oriented for inserting the rope, even after intensive use.
Use and reliability
Thanks to completely Italian production — from the forging of the carabiners to the finishing — every component is subject to direct quality control. The Ergo profile is particularly appreciated on routes with closely spaced protection and dynamic movements, where the speed of clipping makes a difference. A solid choice for those who want a technical, lightweight, and durable quickdraw without compromising on safety.
