DESCRIPTION
The Kong Ergo Anniversary Quickdraw RED is a sport climbing quickdraw created as a special edition to celebrate Kong's 40th anniversary (1977-2017). It combines two Ergo locking carabiners, one of the most popular models in the Kong range, with a 13 mm Dyneema sling measuring 12 cm in length.
Technical features
The two Ergo locking carabiners feature an ergonomic shape that makes it easier to grip them and clip the rope, even when tired or wearing gloves. The Keylock system removes the nose from the locking gate, reducing the risk of accidentally hooking onto anchors, bolts, and fixings—a detail that makes a difference on the route. The locking gate is equipped with the new Fast Rubber Ultra-Resist, a highly resistant rubber stopper that keeps the lower carabiner correctly oriented on the sling, making every clip faster and safer.
Use and performance
The quickdraw is designed for single-pitch climbing and sport routes, where clipping speed and equipment reliability are top priorities. The short 12 cm sling limits side movement and reduces rope friction on vertical sections. The Anniversary edition stands out visually with its red colour, making it easier to spot on the wall. A complete, technical quickdraw built with Kong components of proven reliability.
