DESCRIPTION
The Black Diamond LiteWire Quickdraw is a 16 cm quickdraw designed for those looking for the right balance between low weight and structural reliability, both for sport climbing and multi-pitch routes. Its main feature lies in the LiteWire carabiners with wiregates, made using hot forged construction: a technique that optimizes metal distribution, guaranteeing high strength without sacrificing weight.
Construction and materials
The 12 mm Dynex dogbone significantly contributes to the quickdraw's overall weight reduction, while maintaining excellent abrasion and tensile strength. The compact profile of the carabiners makes them easy to handle with one hand even in awkward positions, without compromising the necessary strength for intensive and repeated use.
Use and performance
- Quickdraw length: 16 cm
- Carabiners with wiregates for quick opening and minimum weight
- 12 mm Dynex dogbone, light and resistant
- Hot forged construction for an optimal strength-to-weight ratio
- Suitable for both daily sport climbing use and challenging multi-pitch routes
The LiteWire Quickdraw stands out for its versatility: robust enough to withstand the wear and tear of repeated sport climbing sessions, light enough not to weigh down the harness on multi-pitches where every gram makes a difference. Sold as a single unit.
