DESCRIPTION
The Kong Quick Link Oval 8mm is an oval-shaped quick link available in two material versions: AISI 304 stainless steel, ideal for damp or marine environments where corrosion resistance is a priority, or carbon steel for an optimized strength-to-weight ratio in traditional rock climbing. The 8mm wire diameter guarantees a robust cross-section suitable for connecting technical equipment at belays or while progressing.

When and how to use it
The oval shape keeps the load always centered at the bottom of the link, making it particularly suitable for setting up fixed belay stations on cliffs, connecting pulleys, or creating anchoring systems where the rotation of the connector could be an issue. The threaded closure allows the gate to be tightened manually in a few seconds, eliminating the risk of accidental opening at critical points of the system. The stainless steel version is the correct choice for coastal via ferratas, damp caves, or permanent installations exposed to the elements.
