DESCRIPTION
The Petzl Rollclip A Triact-Lock is a locking carabiner pulley that combines the functions of an anchor point and an adjustable pulley in a single component, designed for rescue applications, rope systems, and maneuvers on equipped via ferratas. Its distinctive feature compared to traditional pulleys is the position of the lever opening on the pulley side: this design detail allows the rope to be inserted into the pulley even when the carabiner is already attached to the anchor, without having to disassemble the system.
Locking and safety system
The Triact-Lock version features a triple-action automatic locking system: the locking sleeve closes automatically and requires three sequential movements to open, reducing the risk of accidental opening in loaded or dynamic working situations. The Rollclip A is compatible with the CAPTIV bar, an optional accessory that keeps the carabiner correctly oriented on the anchor point, ensuring that the load is always applied to the major axis and not laterally on the spine — a critical condition for maintaining the stated strength ratings.
