DESCRIPTION
The Salomon XA Pro 3D V9 Gore-Tex is one of the longest-running and most recognizable trail running shoes on the market, now in its ninth generation with targeted updates for traction and protection. Designed for those tackling technical trails in any weather conditions, it combines structural stability, certified waterproofing, and an aggressive outsole in a single, field-tested system.
Technologies and construction
The upper integrates a Gore-Tex membrane that guarantees total waterproofing while maintaining breathability, ideal for wet trails or prolonged rain conditions. The Quicklace lacing system allows the shoe to be put on and tightened with a single gesture, even with gloves. The 3D Advanced Chassis structure positioned between the outsole and the upper offers precise torsional support, reducing fatigue on uneven terrain and protecting the foot from accidental twists.
Outsole and grip
- Contagrip MA outsole with optimized pattern for the ninth version, with improved grip on mud, wet rock, and roots
- Dual compound that balances durability and grip in high-wear areas
- Reinforced toe cap and side protection for impacts on rocky terrain
- OrthoLite midsole for stable and consistent cushioning over time
The XA Pro 3D V9 Gore-Tex is the right choice for those looking for a reliable trail shoe for long mountain runs, technical hikes, or ultra-trails in variable conditions, where real protection and predictable performance underfoot are needed.
