The Summit Breithorn Hooded Jacket is a women's down jacket designed for technical mountaineering in extreme cold conditions. The ProDown™ 800 down fill—treated to resist moisture and retain its insulating properties even in adverse conditions—ensures consistent warmth without added weight, with an optimal warmth-to-weight ratio for high-altitude ascents.
Technical climbing-oriented construction
The fixed hood is helmet-compatible, a design choice that makes a difference on alpine routes where removing your helmet is not an option. The raglan sleeves and stretch gussets under the arms eliminate tension during the opening movements typical of climbing, maintaining a close-fitting and neat fit even under a harness. The jacket is designed for technical layering without creating bulk or interfering with protection.
