DESCRIPTION
The Petzl Sarken Leverlock Universel is a technical 12-point crampon designed for mountaineering on hard ice and mixed terrain, where placement precision is as crucial as hold. The vertical, serrated front points ensure effective penetration into compact ice while maintaining good stability on consolidated snow and mixed slopes.
Geometry and point distribution
The arrangement of the 12 points is designed to provide grip on varied terrain, from low-angle glacier slopes to steep, high-angle walls. The geometry ensures stable support regardless of the terrain angle, reducing muscle fatigue during long ascents.
Attachment system and compatibility
The Leverlock Universel system allows the crampons to be fitted to boots with a front Rand sole or rigid heel, making them compatible with a wide range of technical mountaineering footwear. The front lever closure and adjustable rear band ensure quick and secure installation without tools. The structure is made of stainless steel, offering corrosion resistance and long-lasting durability even in prolonged damp conditions.
- 12 stainless steel points with vertical, serrated front points
- Leverlock Universel attachment: compatible with Rand soles and rigid heels
- Front lever closure for quick, tool-free fitting
- Length-adjustable body to fit different boot sizes
- Ideal for ice mountaineering, mixed terrain, and technical couloirs
A solid choice for demanding glacier routes or moderately difficult ice falls, where a reliable crampon is needed on varied terrain without compromising on speed of fitting.
