DESCRIPTION
The Petzl Gully Shovel is an ultra-light technical ice axe developed for ice and mixed climbing and for extreme skiing on steep and challenging terrain. Weighing only 280 grams, it is one of the lightest solutions in its category without compromising the structural solidity required in severe alpine conditions.
Construction and blade geometry
The head is made of high-strength steel, a material that guarantees durability and reliability when striking compact ice. The banana-shaped blade with a refined tip facilitates penetration into the ice with controlled precision, reducing the effort required in technical passages. The integrated shovel completes the tool for digging and self-belaying operations.
TRIGREST system and adaptability to use
The distinctive element of the Gully is the tool-free adjustable TRIGREST hand rest system, which allows the hand position to be quickly adjusted according to the terrain's slope, improving ice axe control both when progressing and in the event of a fall.
