DESCRIPTION
The Petzl Cord-TEC is a replacement cord designed for the flexible connection system of Petzl crampons with Cord-TEC technology. It is an essential maintenance component for users of the LEOPARD LLF, LEOPARD FL, IRVIS HYBRID models or the dedicated Cord-TEC kit, ensuring the continued use of the equipment over time.
Compatibility and function
The cord serves a dual purpose: it allows you to replace the original cord when worn or damaged after intensive use at high altitude, and enables you to adapt compatible crampons to very large shoe sizes, thus extending the range of footwear that can be used with these systems. It is a practical solution for those with feet larger than standard sizes or for those who purchase used crampons with a compromised cord.
Technical features
- Compatible with Petzl LEOPARD LLF, LEOPARD FL, IRVIS HYBRID crampons and the CORD-TEC KIT
- Original Petzl component, designed for the front and rear flexible attachment system
- Allows adaptation to extra-large shoe sizes thanks to the additional length of the cord
- High-resistance technical material, suitable for the mechanical stresses typical of ice and mixed mountaineering
Always keeping a spare Cord-TEC in your technical bag is good practice, especially for demanding outings where the reliability of the crampon retention system is crucial for safety.
