DESCRIPTION
The Dynafit DNA Ice-X 48 cm was created for ski mountaineering competitions, where every gram counts and responsiveness on icy terrain is critical. At the same time, its robust construction makes it suitable for mountaineering ascents on snow and ice, even in challenging winter conditions.
Construction and Materials
The head and handle are made of aluminum, a choice that ensures an optimal balance between structural lightness and mechanical strength. The result is a compact and manageable ice axe, with a length of 48 cm designed for technical terrain where maneuverability is a priority over vertical support. The structure was developed to withstand the repeated stresses typical of ski mountaineering races, where the ice axe is gripped, hooked, and released in rapid sequence.
Use and Versatility
- Optimal performance in ski mountaineering competitions thanks to its light weight
- Suitable for ascents on snow and ice in summer and winter alpine environments
- The 48 cm length favors control on steep slopes and technical passages
- All-aluminum construction to reduce mass without compromising rigidity
An ice axe that meets the needs of those looking for a technical and reliable tool, capable of performing both in races and on classic mountaineering routes, with a weight profile that does not penalize long and challenging climbs.
