DESCRIPTION
The CAMP Corsa Alpine is an ice axe designed for mountaineering, ideal for those seeking a versatile and lightweight tool capable of handling both snow and glacier excursions, as well as simple alpine routes and ski touring trips. Its 65 cm length makes it suitable for use on moderate and mixed slopes, where reliable support is needed without unnecessarily weighing down your backpack.
Technical Construction
The head is made of high-strength steel, a material that ensures robustness and durability even on hard ice, where ice axes with aluminum heads show their limitations. The tapered pick, ranging from 4 to 3 mm in thickness, is a precise technical choice: this progressive geometry significantly improves penetration into compact snow and ice, reducing the force needed for each strike and limiting fatigue on long ascents.
Versatility and Use
- Suitable for snow excursions, glacier crossings, and ski touring
- Recommended for alpine routes of moderate difficulty
- Reduced weight to avoid burdening equipment during long approaches
- 65 cm length, a versatile size for moderately inclined slopes
For those new to mountaineering on snowy terrain or seeking a reliable tool for more demanding winter excursions, the Corsa Alpine offers a balanced choice between lightness, technical effectiveness, and affordability.
